Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

I bought it at Music Mac Hawaii for $129.

This is a quality bass for a minimal price. It has a nice transparent finish.

There's not very much I don't like about it. Maybe they could improve on placement of splices in the body.

It has a three piece body with light weight wings and a good hardwood center. It sports a bolt-on maple neck, and z coil, straight coil configuration. It's light weight, but seems to be well constructed. The pickups seem to carry both bright and warm tones well.

It's an excellent beginner's bass, and I wouldn't have a problem gigging with it. An all around quality instrument for a miniscule price.
